EVENTS

“Expociencias”

I went to expociencias and let me tell you that is one of the best experiences i ever had.

First  the  entrance is so controlled  and the entrance tiket is not  so expensive . well  it  is located  in  corferias  a very  good place ubicated in  Carrera 37 No 24 - 67 Bogotá – Colombia a very good location. Here is where schools of Colombia come to do an expositions of some experiments that their students have done. Every  school has its own space to make their  expositions to other students.

The  exposition that I liked the most was one of  a school of Medellin that talked about another way of making biodegradable plastic, this is so interesting because this kind of plastic is made with vegetables and it is so thin but it is also so hard, I think that  the industries should take this material to replace the plastic that is damaging our planet.

After having a tour of this expositions you can eat something in the cafeteria that has  a variety of  food for a good price.

In  corferias are  a lot of   events and the science exposition is just one of them.

I invite you to corferias,  you are going to love this place as I did.

Palacio de los Deportes By: Jessica Simonis

The second place we went for Bogota's sports was the Palacio de los Deportes. The palacio de los deportes is ubicated in the Simon Bolivar Park. In this park you can study every sport you want, and it is not very expensive. In this park you can go on weekends and practise sports. It's capacity is about for 5,000 people. And it has a parking spot for over 800 cars.
In this park there are also taken in place some concerts and some special events. Here there going to put the concert of 30 seconds to mars, Fito Paez, Mago de Oz, Slayer, Slash, and Muse, etc. This is also the ideal place to have a picnik in a sunday afternoon.

Bogota's Sports By: Jessica Simonis

The First sport we visited in Bogota was the park in Santana, this park is amazing! It has everything, it has a tennis court, an football court, a volleyball court, and a lot of other stuff you have to check out. We asked a tennis teacher witch were the schedules and he told us that they're opened everyday, except sundays, and you just have to tell them what time do you want to have class and they'll let you know if they can or cannot.
The best part of the park is that you can also ride your bike or your roller skates and it's very secure because there are guards keeping and eye on tiefs. If you don't want to have classes, if you only have to go play with your friends you can also do it, but you have to cheek of there are other classes because you cannot interupt.
Other best part is that little children and babies can also play in the park because they have their own part of the park, if you get thirsty of hungry there is also a little store where you can buy supplies. The Santana's park is a great place to go on sundays and enjoy the day with your family during a nice family piknik.

CICLOVIA

EVENTS

“ciclovia”
The ciclovia is a very special event that happens every sunday  to promote the sports or interactive activities in the society. The ciclovia is located in many parts of bogota, it is open since 7:00 am to  2:00 pm;  here you can find many food types and  a lot of  activity centers that  have  a  program  for people to have  a  very  good time  in family.

The ciclovia was created and is  controlled by “la alcaldia de bogota” and this is a complete free economic costs activity.
This is  a  very good  activity  for health and to share an special time with all the family members.

Personally I love the ciclovia and  I go every weekend  with  my family  and I like it because it is so saved and  there  are a lot of  police officers that guarantee your  security in this public space.

I recommend you this amazing activity and for shure you will love it.

Gold museum

I went to the gold museum on sunday, i didnt knew it was free on sundays well the place was full i didnt knew the museum had a lot of technological advances i was really shocked but i enjoyed it i learned a lot of things i didnt knew for example:

Nariño cultures used a lot of statues half animal half man to represent the warriors.

It was normal to make penis statues to represent fertilty

Zenues were really good at building canals.

and i learned spanish not only taked our gold also our good relationship with nature because natives respect it take care of it and love it but now we throw trash, cut trees and all that stuff so i was kind of dissapointed about nowadays culture.

To conclude this museum is really advanced and complete so its the best way to learn about our culture i loved it
