Entertainment: Gran Estacion

Gran Estacion :

I went to Gran Estacion with my friends on friday.Is a huge place, I really enjoyed my time in there because there were many places in where I could have fun. When I arrived to Gran Estacion the first place I went was CREPES & WAFFLES Ice-creams, Is so delicious I love it. When I was ordering my big ice-cream when I met a worker name Alicia she was an old woman that had been working 2 years in Gran Estacion when I met her I hoped she could tell me information about Gran Estacion. She told me that Gran Estacion was one of the biggest malls in Bogota. In a month more than 3 million people visit the place most of them are adolescents.


The next place I went was Point of Information. There i met  3 persons in charge of the security of the place. They gave me an information paper or Gran Estacion it said :Gran Estacion had More than 370 local, 61 local in Tech Zone, 8 cinema Rooms, 37 Restaurants of quick foods,12.000 m2 of Public Square, 2.100 parkings,17 Restaurants to cloth, Hint of Ice an a Casino.There are more than 300 workers some of them have physical problems but they love working in there and the other ones are moms. Wow awesome!! when I read this I was very impressed.


The next 2 hours I visited the hole mall searching for places I didn't knew. At the final of the day I was really tired but I learned a lot about this place I hoped everyone could go and have fun is a very interesting place.

Chico Park

I went with my dad to Chico park and i enjoy it a lot there were a lot of kids playing around jumping screaming it remind me of when i was a 6 year old boy and i went every sunday with my sister. This is a great park because it is like a castle and is really big, it has a library a museum  a lot of slides,swings and it have a lot of water sources with some fishes on them. I didnt knew anything about the park history so i went to the museum and asked the guide about the park, she told me the park was founded in 1964, it belonged to Mercedes Sierra de Perez she was Pepe sierra daughter, i asked her why the park looked like a castle and she told me that it was because Mercedes husband was invalid and they couldnt have kids so they traveled around the world to find a cure for him and she really liked a castle named Alambra that is located in Granada, España and she wanted to recreat it. I also asked her why the oark was full of water sources and she told me that it was because of the name of the park, Chico that was originally Chicu that in Muisca meant our ally and chicu was the name of a pond but spanish called it Chico  she decided to cannal it  in her garden with this water sources. As she couldnt have any kids she decided  to give the space to the kids so it became a park who has a lot of space and theres a museum in wich was her house this park is perfect for picnics and events like weddings and birthday partys so if you dont know were to take your kids Chico is a great place come and have a great day.

Cinema's article

The cinema I visited today was Cinemark; it was fundated in 2005 by Felipe Rodriguez. There are 18 theaters in the whole country. The worker I interview is Yesenia Mayorga she is been working here for two years, she loves working here because she has a lot of fun and she enjoys her work. Her schedule is Monday – Thursday 4 hours every day and Friday – Sunday 10 hours every day.

 Yesenia told me that in the weekdays 800 people come every day and in the weekends 5,000 people come every day. In this theater there are 26 workers. Most of the customers prefer to come to the theater at 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. This theater has 144 premieres per year.

Then I interview a customer  “ Carlos Esparza” he said he loved the organization of the cinema, but he would like the service to be faster, Carlos is a very good customer he visits the theater 3 times a week.

I saw a movie in this theater, I really love it. I recommend it you can go every day you want and you are going to love Cinemark.

Restaurant Article

  The restaurant we visited was Popsy. It was fundated in 1982 by Richard Benzzani. This restaurant is one of the favorites of the people in Bogota. There are 8 restaurants in Bogota.We asked Angela Cardona, a worker in the restaurant of San Rafael, if she like working here and she told us that yes because it has always been her dream to make people happy. She has been working here for 2 years now. The schedule is very important for them, they open at midday and close at 9:30 pm.

 There are approximately 200 clients here per' day, and there are only 3 workers in the restaurant. For what we've seen the most wanted ice cream is Oreo. We asked a girl that was eating an ice cream if she had liked the restaurant, and she told us that she had loved it , that she loves how clean it is. We also asked her what would she change about the restaurant and she said the counter lady because she was very rude and nobody likes that. The final question was if she comes here often and she told us that every weekend after going to the cinema.

  As a conclusion this is a very nice restaurant because it's very clean and people really like it. So go every time you can because we also tried the ice cream and it was really good we loved it. It is really clean  and if you are lucky it won't be any line.
